iPad + VelcroOver the next few posts, using tips from the BBC, I’ll show you what’s the most useful elements to consider when filming.
First, make a project overview.
1). Know and understand your subject and story.
2). Plan your style and shots.
3). Check camera and sound.
4). Film Steady Shots of people speaking.
5). Film plenty of illustration shots.
Making you a ProLimerick, June 2010. Magic Roundabout in association with Bottom Dog present ‘Spinal Krapp’ in The Loft Venue.
‘Spinal Krapp’; the bizarre black comedy by Darren Maher, is to return to the Limerick stage for a week at the new Loft Venue. The show is presented in association with the Bottom Dog company and is to run for five nights from Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 of June. ‘Spinal’ is a one man show, running for about an hour and is described as ‘a stand-up tragedy’, the show has plenty of laughs but also a more serious side too; it tells the story of a childhood through jokes, anecdotes and snatches of half-remembered television. The eighties come alive as Zeb Moore creates the character of a schizoid story-teller, stuck in the decade that taste forgot.
Show starts at 8.00, tickets are 10 euro but booking is strongly advised as seating is limited in The Loft.

WIllie O’Dea’s Interview with Apple BitesHere is a great piece of software I have been using recently, Mindnode.
MindNode Pro and MindNode are elegant and simple-to-use mindmapping applications for the Macintosh that help to visually:
* collect, classify and structure ideas.
* organize, study and solve problems.
Mind maps can be used for many different tasks – including to-do lists, brainstorming, holiday planning, research, writing, project management – and in many different environments – school, meetings, workspace.
MindnodeSwede Me is a series of short comic films made by teenagers. It’ll be shown on RTE TWO this Autumn and on YouTube after that. We are on the lookout nationwide to find groups to make and star in their very own TV Show with a professional TV crew at their disposal. The closing date is 6pm on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010. So let’s get involved with Swede Me!
Swede Me, previously called Sweded TV is a series of short episodes that was about sweding a popular TV show instead of a film, ie remaking their own version of The Hills, or Eastenders or even Fair City. Have a look at some of the swedes from last year’s series.
This year they have changed the show to incorporate Teen Labels – ‘We want the teens involved to act out the teen labels they know around them – The possibilities are endless – Gleeks, Scouts, Surfers, Skaters, Emos, Football Fanatics, you tell us!

The route of the run is through the beautiful scenic medieval Limerick taking in such sights as King Johns Castle and the Treaty Stone.
